Vote-by-mail ballots will be mailed out no later than October 10, 2022.

Drop off your vote-by-mail ballot:

County Elections Office, 100 Courthouse Square, Room 11, Downieville, CA 95936.

  • Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. beginning on October 10, 2022.
  • 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.

City of Loyalton Auditorium, 605 School Street, Loyalton.

7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day ONLY.

Spanish Ballots: To request a Spanish facsimile ballot, please contact the Sierra County Clerk's Office.  

Remote Accessible Vote-By-Mail System 

For the November 8, 2022, General Election, all registered voters in California are eligible to use an accessible vote-by-mail system to view the Voter Information Pamphlet and also mark and download their vote-by-mail ballot from the convenience of their own home and return it by mail.

June 7, 2022, Statewide Direct Primary Election

This is an ALL MAIL Ballot election. There will be no polling places designated.

Vote-by-mail ballots will be mailed out no later than May 9, 2022.

Drop your ballot off at the County Elections Office located at 100 Courthouse Square, Room 11, Downieville, CA 95936 Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. beginning May 9, 2022 or at the City of Loyalton Auditorium, 605 School Street, Loyalton from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
