Social Work
The Child Protective Services (CPS) is the major system of intervention of child abuse and neglect in California. Existing law provides for services to abused and neglected children and their families. The CPS goal is to keep the child in his/her own home when it is safe, and when the child is at risk, to develop an alternate plan as quickly as possible. Learn more
Adult Protective Services
Each county has an Adult Protective Services (APS) agency to help elder adults (65 years and older) and dependent adults (18-64 who are disabled), when these adults are unable to meet their own needs, or are victims of abuse, neglect or exploitation. Learn More
In Home Supportive Services
The In home Supportive Services (IHSS) Program will help pay for services provided to you so that you can remain safely in your own home. Having help with tasks around the house not only makes the lives of seniors and the disabled easier, but in some cases, it allows the person to remain in his or her home.Learn More
